2011 Ibanez RG870QMZ Premium – Black Ice
A stunning 2011 Ibanez RG870QMZ Premium, finished in the incredible Black Ice finish with a highly figured quilted maple top and matching headstock.
Part of Ibanez’s Premium series, the RG870QMZ was designed to offer many of the high-performance features associated with Ibanez’s upper-end instruments while retaining the unmistakable feel and styling of the legendary RG.
The Black Ice finish really sets this one apart. Depending on the light, the quilted figuring shifts between dark grey, blue and almost black tones, with the matching figured headstock completing the look beautifully.
The guitar features the classic HSH pickup configuration, offering plenty of versatility from powerful humbucker tones through to cleaner and more articulate sounds. A 5-way selector, master volume and master tone keep the controls straightforward and familiar.
It’s also equipped with an Edge-Zero II double-locking tremolo system with ZPS, designed to provide excellent tuning stability while still allowing everything from subtle vibrato to more extreme tremolo work.
This particular example dates to 2011 and was manufactured in Indonesia as part of the early Premium series. It is in immaculate condition and has clearly been extremely well cared for.
It also comes complete with its original Ibanez Premium case, making this a particularly desirable and complete example of an early Premium RG.
