Up for sale is this killer Japanese-made Charvel Model 88 from 1988 — a proper golden-era shred machine built when Charvel/Jackson Japan were producing some of the best superstrats around.
Finished in a gorgeous transparent cherry burst, this guitar looks every bit as cool as it plays. Slim fast neck, effortless upper fret access and that unmistakable 80s Charvel feel that makes these guitars so addictive to play.
The guitar is all original apart from the neck pickup, which has been professionally upgraded to what appears to be a period-correct Schaller humbucker. It’s an incredibly tidy job and honestly looks factory. Original bridge pickup is still fitted and sounds fantastic.
Licensed Floyd Rose trem is working perfectly and holds tuning well. Frets are in great shape and the guitar plays brilliantly up and down the neck.
Comes complete with the original Charvel hard case.
Trade ins welcome.
A seriously cool and increasingly collectible MIJ Charvel that nails everything great about late 80s guitars.
